What

So what exactly do we do? Sure, we can do what many event producers do: help you in conceptualizing, design, booking, logistics and execution of a music event. That’s all good. But what is more exciting is what we offer that goes beyond the norm:

We can help you institute a set of environmentally conscious initiatives that can alter the identity of your event in a positive way. Undertaking greening efforts not only makes your event socially responsible, but also opens new avenues of marketing, press, public relations, sponsorships and promotions. By paying attention to the environment and offering your guests an experience that seeks to lessen its adverse consequences on the planet, your event can go from a big party to a big party with a mission. Consumers want companies who take these responsibilities seriously – we can help you show your customers you do just that. Some of our events include:

Project 30-90

Project 30-90 is a music festival that’s about way more than the music. Its about taking the newest technology many other industries are using and applying it to music festivals. Using cutting edge technology from the energy industry, we are committed to producing the first ever festival in New Orleans that is run on solar and wind power. We’ll be looking at all forms of alternative power to create a sustainable festival experience. With an understanding that every thing we do has an effect on our environment, we’ll be conscious of all our actions and concentrate on energy usage, waste management and habitat restoration. Stay with us as we continue to announce more aspects of the project – it’s a choice you can easily make that will have positive effects on you and your community.

Oh yeah, just what is 30-90? Well, that’s the latitude and longitude of our home, New Orleans, Louisiana. Two lines intersecting on the globe at a magical place. For this project, it’s the intersection of sound and sustainability.

project 30-90 will be held in New Orleans on 9-5-09, the Saturday of Labor Day Weekend.  Mark your calendar now to spend a Saturday with us, enjoying music, art and technology in one potent green mix.

A Joyful Noise

Since 2005, dk has produced the A Joyful Noise benefit concert series. Featuring a wide array of musicians joined together for a charitable cause, the concerts have donated thousands of dollars to New Orleans based charities, including Children’s Hospital, House of Ruth, Covenant House, Agenda for Children, Jefferson Care Center and Common Grounds Collective. With a goal of mixing artists from differing genres, A Joyful Noise has provided memorable collaborations such as members of Better Than Ezra with The Funky Meters, and members of Galactic with Cowboy Mouth.

SXSW 2008

In 2008, dk collaborated with the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation, Bug Music and OffBeat Magazine to create the Louisiana Party at South by Southwest in Austin, Texas. Mixing Louisiana musicians and cuisine, the Continental Club in Austin was the place to see and be seen on Friday of the famous music conference.
